Roland Haas rhaas at illinois.edu
Thu Dec 22 13:39:13 CST 2022

present: Erik, Liwei, Lorenzo, Roland

* Erik will be teaching Jan+Feb, will not be able to joining regularly

reconstructing:
* Lorenzo not yet ready, still looking for efficient way to compute
  fluxes
** E. showed how to use GF3D5Vector to allocate temporary storage for a
tile's worth of data
** future improvements may include centering information in index
object to allow for compile time error checking
** E. mentioned older CHEMORA work and helpfulness of compile time
constants to reduce register usage eg for tile size

TOV tests
* Roland and Liwei discussed a bit how atmostpheres are handled in
runs, will always have material "boiling off" the surface due to
gravity <-> pressure gradient mismatch that is unavoidable unless one
  uses very special schemes
