Summary:     Hydro_Analysis: checkpoint grid scalars

they are very cheap to checkpoint and if they are not checkpointed then
the first time that Hydro_Analysis wants to compute the separation after
a recovery it has to hope that there previous LocationSearch actually
succeeded (it might not at this time).

setting this maps the found maximum into the positive x half-plane
assuming pi-symmetry. This is only an issue when the found maximum is in
the symmetry region.
