 I agree, except I'm not sure that having Cactus/.simfactory is a good
 idea.  It will be a hidden directory which I don't think is necessary.
 Maybe we could call it Cactus/simfactory.conf?

 Then we would need to modify SimFactory to search for certain types of
 files first in simfactory.conf, then in ~/.simfactory, and then in the
 current location.
