 is the mailing list still down? It was also useful to receive commit
 emails through the list so as to be up to data wrt any bugfixes/testing
 request are pushed into the repository. Right now I believe commit emails
 are only send to those that have commit rights? (Christian Ott, Christian
 Reisswig, me, Yosef, Ian, Peter, Frank and Erik)
