 Did you update to the latest Kranc?  You need at least
 [https://github.com/ianhinder/Kranc/commit/18cf85fac56896748b760b8017eaba6cc8057265
 Commit 18cf85f] for correct error handling (as mentioned in the ticket
 summary :) ).
