 I don't know.  I don't use the Intel compiler on my Mac any more.  I
 suspect it was down to a bug in the Intel compiler for Mac OS, but this is
 just conjecture.  Someone with the Intel compiler on Mac OS should try to
 reproduce the problem.  I wouldn't like to close the ticket if the problem
 still exists.
