Comment (by knarf):

 Might not also the order of the lines be different for especially a lot of
 processes? Wouldn't it be better to have the perl comparison tool
 understand these differences not being important? One way could be to pre-
 process the files before diffing: sort by iteration and coordinates (or
 indices), removing blank lines and comparing then?
