 CarpetLib's class should be renamed e.g. to FastTimer. This class uses
 low-latency timers that can be used to time even short pieces of code
 where regular Cactus timers are much too slow.

 In the long run, there should be a way to disable the expensive Cactus
 timers (getrusage and gettimeofday) in some way. Then, CarpetLib's timer
 class would be obsolete.
