Comment (by knarf):

 On an unrelated note: if the thorn is supposed to be used to point to any
 BLAS/LAPACK installation, shouldn't the variable to do so not be BLAS_DIR
 / LAPACK_DIR? Of course this would now be different than the thorn name.
