 I would expect that a few tests with different versions of the compiler
 would be necessary to include the patch. In general it is a good idea to
 have a test for it. One immediate problem is that the patch adds

 #undef CCTK_DISABLE_RESTRICT

 It shouldn't, as by default this isn't defined, and if it is, it was done
 so presumably by the user and should not be ignored.
