 I would vote to change the wording in the docs to make it illegal to slice
 up identifiers with line continuations. If we had hundreds of par files
 that worked in this way, I'd consider a backwards compatibility story. In
 this case, I think, it makes no sense.

 Actually, line continuations are now completely obsolete. You can just put
 things on the next line without the continuation and Piraha will figure it
 out.
