 Roland, please tell me what you want me to do. Should I set ppn=max-num-
 threads=num-threads=total hyperthreads? Normally, I prefer #cores for
 this.

 It is my belief that even if these numbers are not perfect, they are
 better than putting "1" (which blocks parallel make, etc.).
