#2861: Running qc0 with CarpetX

 Reporter: Alejandra Gonzalez
   Status: open
Milestone:
  Version:
     Type: bug
 Priority: major
Component: EinsteinToolkit thorn

Comment (by Alejandra Gonzalez):

Hi Lucas,

I am trying now to compile a clean Cactus directory from your thornlist \(which it seems that it solved now the HDF5 issue\) but the problem now is that it is trying to clone an external repository and the cluster I’m trying to compile it in has no internet access:

```
[ 11%] Creating directories for 'cmocka-populate'
[ 22%] Performing download step (git clone) for 'cmocka-populate'
fatal: unable to access 'https://gitlab.com/cmocka/cmocka.git/': Failed to connect to gitlab.com port 443: Connection timed out
Cloning into 'cmocka-src'...
fatal: unable to access 'https://gitlab.com/cmocka/cmocka.git/': Failed to connect to gitlab.com port 443: Connection timed out
Had to git clone more than once: 3 times.
CMake Error at cmocka-subbuild/cmocka-populate-prefix/tmp/cmocka-populate-gitclone.cmake:50 (message):
  Failed to clone repository: 'https://gitlab.com/cmocka/cmocka.git'
```

this is similar to what happened to me before with openPMD \(here is the [ticket](https://bitbucket.org/einsteintoolkit/tickets/issues/2857/compiling-carpetx-with-openpmd)\)
