Git hash [98141381](https://bitbucket.org/eschnett/carpet/commits/981413815e8530db76f80c39505a588e070a1df4) "Carpet/CarpetLib: Move stack backtrace code to its own file" of [carpet](https://bitbucket.org/eschnett/carpet) pretty much implements this, using `backtrace_symbols` instead of `backtrace_symbols_fd`.
