#1798: add backtrace script to cactus utils
Reporter: Steven R. Brandt
Status: new
Milestone:
Version: development version
Type: enhancement
Priority: minor
Component: Other
Comment (by Roland Haas):
Is it worthwhile to have and maintain such a script? We already give the `addr2line` command line at the bottom of each `backtrace.<rank>.txt` file. Plus, often one actually needs to use `gdb` and its `info line *<address>` command \(and a core dump\) either b/c of address space randomization \(laptops\) or b/c `addr2line` is older than `gdb`.
Ie. do the benefits outweigh the effort?
