<p>That may be the case. The OpenMP docs do document a private clause for OMP SIMD (though no shared as far as I can tell). I don't quite understand what private means in the context of an OMP SIMD though. The pragma only tells the compiler to use SIMD instructions for the next loop but does not eg spin of new threads.</p>
