<p>I am explicitly building with HDF5 1.10 (instead of 1.12) for some reason that I forgot. Some other package or thorn (that might or might not be interesting to other ET users) doesn’t with with HDF5 1.12. I’ve just started building everything with HDF5 1.12 to see whether the problem lies. If I don’t follow up within a day or two, please ignore me.</p>
