<p>There no longer is a BlueGene/Q system in the ET and thus the architecture is no longer tested meaning that </p>
<ol>
<li>new methods are no longer tested with it</li>
<li>implementing new methods to follow what is done eg for amd64 is very tricky</li>
</ol>
<p>Thus the architecture should be retired once it is clear it is no longer being used. Right now there are still BG/Q systems out there, eg <a data-is-external-link="true" href="https://www.top500.org/system/177723/" rel="nofollow">https://www.top500.org/system/177723/</a></p>
