I like the scheme.

Assuming this will be the one we choose, everyone in charge of
repositories would have to

1. Create the tag ET_2010_06_v0 using the current release branch
2. Wait for the patches to be tested and applied
3. Create a new tag ET_2010_06_v1 from the then current release branch
