[Users] Cannot update QuasiLocalMeasures

I have had similar issues with the LSUThorns on teragrid machines,
although it worked fine on my laptop in NYC. I think the die on error
part of GetComponents was put in for testing purposes; I can remove it
when I get back to my computer.
