The logs show that libncurses configues successfully, but it might not
build correctly. The build log should show, but it wasn't attached.

I am sorry you wasted so much time on this. Is there anything you can
suggest that could make new users ask early in case of problems?
Back to the libncurses problem: Which system is this on - which flavor
and version of Linux? Can you please also provide your thornlist and
option list? This way we might be able to reproduce it. Maybe a list of
installed packages would also be helpful (to see which of the libraries
you have installed, in addition to the dev packages).
