Mon Jun 20 10:03:55 CDT 2016

Present: Eloisa, Roland, Frank, Matt, Yosef,

Alternatives to Google hangout (should we require them):

* at the workshop TeamSpeak was mentioned since it is used by LIGO and
can handle large numbers of participants with little effort (hundred
and up to 1000 were used by LIGO)
* an open-source alternative using similar technology (same codec) is
  mumble
* both offer a free-as-in-beer server as long as the number of
participants is mall (<32 for teamspeak)
* both (should) offer public calls and offer clients for all major OS
* Frank looked into them a bit and will try and see what would be
involved in hosting a server (at LSU) or also to pay for commercial
  hosting

* mostly successful, however still points that need improvement
