I have still to check with him if it will be OK to have it in Amsterdam in the summer of 2021. Any other suggestions for the EU 2021 edition are of course welcome.

During the LSU workshop, Yuan-Chuan Zou (?) (one of the participants)
remarked that participating from China is difficult because of the
time zone differences. I assume that we have a growing community in
East-Asian time zones, including China, India, Japan, Australia, New
Zealand, etc. We should seriously contemplate organizing a virtual
workshop at an Asian-friendly time. This seems difficult to organize
from America because the time zones are off by half a day. However, a
European workshop that – instead of being late in the day to cater to
Americans – is held early in the morning would do the trick?

One way to move forward would be to set up a poll to find out which
times of the day are convenient or acceptable for people living all
over the globe. We would need to pay special attention to e.g.
faculty, who could bring in new students from nearby universities, and
not just hold a poll among current users.
