There no longer is a BlueGene/Q system in the ET and thus the architecture is no longer tested meaning that

1. new methods are no longer tested with it
2. implementing new methods to follow what is done eg for amd64 is very tricky

Thus the architecture should be retired once it is clear it is no longer being used. Right now there are still BG/Q systems out there, eg https://www.top500.org/system/177723/
