 The following patch introduces a parameter for controlling whether MoL
 overwrites the boundaries of initial data (via genuine boundary
 conditions, or syncs and prolongation). Some exact solutions provide
 pointwise values for all the grid points, and thus don't need any sort of
 boundary treatment.
