 An interesting variation is to ask for output along z=0.5,y=0 ie:
 {{{
 IOASCII::out1D_x                        = yes
 IOASCII::out1D_xline_z                  = 0.5
 }}}
 which shows that a 2 processor run violates the symmetry in x->-x in the
 Gaussian pulse at the points (+/-0.25, 0.25,0 .75)
