 The issue with certificates has been around for years, has not been solved
 yet, and continues to annoy people. What you probably mean (Frank) is that
 there is no way to solve this with our current repo infrastructure
 (hosting SVN repos at LSU). That doesn't mean that there isn't another
 way, or that the issue isn't annoying to people any more.

 We should address this; if we can't get certificates to work, and if the
 "solution" is to ignore them, then we should use a different mechanism and
 forego svn via https. For example plain http should work, or svn+ssh, or
 switching to git.
