 I also expect the svn client to work out of the box. Apparently it
 doesn't. Is there working version available via a standard mechanism -
 homebrew maybe? Let's not close this ticket then, but let's find a
 solution on OSX. But for that I need someone to test and try. There seem
 to be plenty available: https://subversion.apache.org/packages.html#osx .
 If one of these works and is reasonably easy to install, all we need to do
 is blacklist the broken version.
