 That file is meant to contain useful bash scripts, not necessarily only
 for libraries, but I agree that it does at the moment.
 The functions could return something else than 0, but then the calling
 scripts have to check that if they use '-e'. Good point.
 I am not sure about your last point now. The functions already echo
 failure messages.
