#1769: External libraries: moving towards multiarch library directory structure
------------------------------------+---------------------------------------
Reporter: bmundim | Owner:
Type: defect | Status: reopened
Priority: major | Milestone: ET_2016_05
Component: EinsteinToolkit thorn | Version: development version
Resolution: | Keywords: ExternalLibraries HDF5 Multiarch
------------------------------------+---------------------------------------
Comment (by rhaas):
Let me restate the question then: is the current state of the scripts
going to make the success rate of configuring ExternalLibraries without
user intervention (and not fail in any of the machines in simfactory where
we do provide explicit settings) higher than if we went back to the state
of the last release? If not then we should go back to the state of the
last release since then at least we get a known bad thing rather than an
unknown bad thing. Basically I don't want to make things worse than before
(obviously) but also do not want to make them only a little bit better but
introduce larger, mostly non-battle tested scripts.
