 release thornlists to point to the new thorn-wise branches in git, instead
 of a cleaner repository-wide release branch. Of course, then we could do
 the actual merge as well.

 If we are thinking about the svn server going away, then I agree a
 repository-wide release branch would be more convenient. Either way, the
 release thornlists will need to be updated, but I guess that isn't really
 much of a problem.
