 Hi Frank,

 I built a fresh configuration today on Kubuntu 14.04.3 LTS with your most
 current fixes for bash_utils.sh and HDF5 external library detect.sh.
 Unfortunately hdf5 library installed in my
 system wasn't found and the library was built. I think the usual problem
 of finding the library in the multiarch directory layout persists. The
 verbose output of the script is attached in the file hdf.debug.
