Comment (by hinder):

 I don't think this is possible at the moment.  Can it be achieved by
 appending something to the make.code.defn file?  If so, then the Kranc
 MergeFiles thorn option could be used.  That allows you to append any text
 to any file in the thorn.  Maybe we can add something to this makefile
 which modifies the optimisation flags.  That would then apply just to this
 one thorn, rather than the source file, but that's probably fine in this
 case.
