I am also having the problem - I attempted to do a checkout using  
GetComponents including the thorn LSUThorns/SummationByParts, and it  
hung on the file stencil.h (the last file, though I don't know if this  
is important).  When I went into the directory and did a cvs update,  
it fetched the file and all was well.  This was from within the AEI  
network.
