[Users] Thornlist cleanup

Hello,

Before going into testing mode for the next release I would like to
raise the question whether the following list of thorns should stay
within the toolkit thornlist. If nobody speaks up for any of them we
should see it as sign that we should think about removing them.

Don't see this as suggestion to remove them right now - just as a
reminder that we shouldn't keep thorns without purpose within the
toolkit and from time to time have to think about possible removals.
Any removal should anyway be announced first as depreciated and could
then be removed for the fall release.
