Yup, see ticket #770 (https://trac.einsteintoolkit.org/ticket/770).
Workaround: "echo kraken >$HOME/.hostname" can be checked with "sim whoami".

This is version 3 of an updated configuration. I'll really have to
commit this soon :-)
