Hi Comer,

The papers are very old (more than 10 years!), and don't directly reflect the current version of Kranc, though the concepts are the same. Kranc itself has a "Doc" subdirectory containing LaTeX documentation, and this is available on the Kranc website (http://kranccode.org) under "Documentation". I believe that this should still be correct, though new features have probably not yet been added to it. It is certainly worth reading it to get an idea of the main concepts. I have not tried out the tutorial recently, and I just realised that it was never updated after the SVN - Git transition. It may work. Most of it is not relevant if you have already checked out the ET, however. You could start at the section "Build the SimpleWave example" in your existing ET checkout (Kranc is in Cactus/repos/Kranc). When it tells you to add the SimpleWave thorn to your thornlist, you would put it in Cactus/manifest/einsteintoolkit.th and rerun "sim build --thornlist manifest/einsteintoolkit.th".

I have created an issue (https://github.com/ianhinder/Kranc/issues/125) on the Kranc issue tracker for the tutorial to be updated.

Please let us know if you run into problems!
