OPENSSL vraiable names:
* start variable names with thorn name so OPENSSL_DIR rather than SSL_DIR

Generate parameter files from fragments using a type of web-interface:
* there seems to be no direct interest

Autodetection scripts:
* Erik rewrote the detect.sh script in perl (example FFTW3)
* Frank and Roland have interest in working on these
