[Users] meeting minutes for 2018-09-24

Spam on trac:
* currently anonymous posting has been disabled
* Steve will look into alternative captcha
* Roland suggests that something simple, customized (eg. "What was
  Einstein's given name?") would work (or even "Type 'Einstein'").

ET release:
* Wu release with major feature being the GiRaFFE thorn
* major fix in MHD code for GRHydro
* glitch in announcement email not mentioning MHD fix
* will work out better way to double check announcement emails eg by
  posting it on the wiki or as a pull request to have more eyes on it

ET meeting:
* many new student users, few professorial level new users
* new user sessions
** using Cactus
** visualization
** using Carpet
** NRPy+ intro
** worked well using LSU jupyterhub server
* improve visibility of ET
* foster collaboration between ET users in particular in the EU, common
  computer time grands
* benchmarks and performance comparison between ET, BAM, GRChombo
* non Cactus codes in ET: Peter Diener has a self-force code that he
  would like to contribute. Need to decide how to handle and present
  this.
* waveform modeling, eccentric waveforms
* pressing issue is lack of good initial data for system involving
  matter
* the memory usage issue in ticket

* Helvi will organize the next meeting in London (most likely)

ET tutorial:
* will move back to NCSA
* Roland and Steve to set this up
