I played around with OpenSuSE a bit over the break. Turns out that it sets `CONFIG_SITE` and that causes problems in the release branch of the Einstein Toolkit \(will be fixed in development soon\).

For now the workaround is to add:  

```
unset CONFIG_SITE
```
