#29: 'sim cd_output' command --------------------------+------------------------------------------------- Reporter: knarf | Owner: mthomas Type: enhancement | Status: closed Priority: minor | Milestone: Component: SimFactory | Version: Resolution: fixed | Keywords: --------------------------+------------------------------------------------- Changes (by mthomas): * status: new => closed * resolution: => fixed Comment: I could not figure out a way to make simfactory automatically cd to a directory and have that change of a directory stick when simfactory exited. So I did what I could: There's a new command, {{{ sim get-output-dir <simulationname> [--restart-id=<id>] }}} It outputs something like the following: {{{ [mwt@eric2 simfactory]$ bin/sim get-output-dir refact_test DEBUG: Simfactory command: bin/../lib/sim.py "get-output-dir" "refact_test" DEBUG: Version exported The Simulation Factory: Manage Cactus simulations Info: defs: /work/mwt/cactus/Cactus/simfactory/etc/defs.ini Info: defs.local: /work/mwt/cactus/Cactus/simfactory/etc/defs.local.ini Executing command: get_output_dir Simulation name: refact_test Output directory: /work/mwt/simulations/refact_test/output-0003/qc0-mclachlan }}} From there, you can just copy and paste the output dir and go to it. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.einsteintoolkit.org/ticket/29#comment:1> Einstein Toolkit <http://einsteintoolkit.org> The Einstein Toolkit

[Einstein Toolkit] #119: Have multiple dprints

#119: Have multiple dprints -------------------------+-------------------------------------------------- Reporter: eschnett | Owner: mthomas Type: enhancement | Status: new Priority: minor | Milestone: Component: SimFactory | Version: Keywords: | -------------------------+-------------------------------------------------- If there are multiple versions of dprint specifying the intent ("I am going to abort with an error", "this is a severe problem", "warning", "log message"), then one could probably omit the second argument that specifies whether to print the error always. This would be a higher level interface and could make it easier to use. dabort derror dwarn dlog Internally, these would just call dprint, depending on the verbosity level and environment settings. For example, dabort would always print, and dwarn would not print if it happens during a non-essential operation. dlog would only print if the verbosity is high. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.einsteintoolkit.org/ticket/119> Einstein Toolkit <http://einsteintoolkit.org> The Einstein Toolkit

[Einstein Toolkit] #197: Options for overriding mdb entries

#197: Options for overriding mdb entries -------------------------+-------------------------------------------------- Reporter: eschnett | Owner: mthomas Type: enhancement | Status: new Priority: minor | Milestone: Component: SimFactory | Version: Keywords: | -------------------------+-------------------------------------------------- There are currently command line options to override certain mdb entries, e.g. "cpufreq" or "ppn". These options seem superfluous given the "mdbkey" option. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.einsteintoolkit.org/ticket/197> Einstein Toolkit <http://einsteintoolkit.org> The Einstein Toolkit

[Einstein Toolkit] #170: "environcmd" option is ignored for "execute"

#170: "environcmd" option is ignored for "execute" ------------------------+--------------------------------------------------- Reporter: eschnett | Owner: mthomas Type: defect | Status: new Priority: major | Milestone: Component: SimFactory | Version: Keywords: | ------------------------+--------------------------------------------------- "sim execute" needs to take the mdb entry "environcmd" into account. All simfactory commands need to do that. This should happen globally when simfactory starts up, not by all simfactory commands individually. The "sshsetup" mdb entry should then be removed, because it offers the same functionality. "environcmd" should probably be renamed "envsetup". -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.einsteintoolkit.org/ticket/170> Einstein Toolkit <http://einsteintoolkit.org> The Einstein Toolkit

[Einstein Toolkit] #150: TwoPunctures: output individual ADM masses even when tuning
by Einstein Toolkit 10 Jan '11

10 Jan '11

#150: TwoPunctures: output individual ADM masses even when tuning --------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Reporter: bernard.j.kelly@… | Type: enhancement Status: new | Priority: minor Milestone: ET_2011_06 | Component: EinsteinToolkit trac Version: ET_2010_11 | Keywords: --------------------------------------+------------------------------------- Can we output the individual puncture ADM mass post-solve in TwoPunctures? At present (Chandrasekhar stable release), they're only quoted if we're tuning the mass through iterative solves (which, I suppose, is what most people do). This requires only a handful of extra lines. I'm attaching an "svn diff" of my local version, which has this enabled. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.einsteintoolkit.org/ticket/150> Einstein Toolkit <http://einsteintoolkit.org> The Einstein Toolkit
