Glad to see that this worked. #2657: Carpet Regrid does not set validities for PreSync
by Samuel Cupp 19 Oct '22

#2657: Carpet Regrid does not set validities for PreSync Reporter: Samuel Cupp Status: new Milestone: Version: Type: bug Priority: major Component: Carpet When a refinement level is regridded, the outer region $ghost zones and boundaries$ are invalidated, but PreSync validities are not properly updated to reflect this. A pull request has been [created](https://bitbucket.org/eschnett/carpet/pull-requests/57/carpet-adde…. It still needs to also detect whether the grid functions are prolongated or not. If they aren’t, they should be set to \`nowhere' instead of \`interior'. -- Ticket URL: https://bitbucket.org/einsteintoolkit/tickets/issues/2657/carpet-regrid-doe…

#2176: Test "Binary neutron star" example Reporter: Roland Haas Status: open Milestone: ET_2022_11 Version: development version Type: task Priority: major Component: EinsteinToolkit website Comment (by Roland Haas): Are you compiling on a cluster $which one$? In that case, it could be a limit imposed by the admins. Would you mind trying with `./simfactory/bin/sim build -j1 bns` to use only a single parallel make process? Also if you could provide the output of `ulimit -a` that would help. -- Ticket URL: https://bitbucket.org/einsteintoolkit/tickets/issues/2176/test-binary-neutr…

#2176: Test "Binary neutron star" example Reporter: Roland Haas Status: open Milestone: ET_2022_11 Version: development version Type: task Priority: major Component: EinsteinToolkit website Comment (by Bing-Jyun Tsao): For 2022\_11\_ET BNS gallery test: when building from the thornlist `./simfactory/bin/sim build bns --thornlist thornlists/nsnstohmns.th`, I got the following error when compiling the `ExternalLibraries/LORENE` thorn. ```shell patching file Lorene/C++/Source/Bin_hor/Makefile patch: **** can't open file Lorene/C++/Source/Bin_hor/Makefile_lib : Too many open files make[3]: *** [/home/bt22824/2022_11_ETK/Cactus/arrangements/ExternalLibraries/LORENE/src/make.code.deps:14: /home/bt22824/2022_11_ETK/Cactus/configs/bns/scratch/done/LORENE] Error 2 make[2]: *** [/home/bt22824/2022_11_ETK/Cactus/lib/make/make.thornlib:113: make.checked] Error 2 make[1]: *** [/home/bt22824/2022_11_ETK/Cactus/lib/make/make.configuration:179: /home/bt22824/2022_11_ETK/Cactus/configs/bns/lib/libthorn_LORENE.a] Error 2 ``` For reference, here are the commands I used to download the current master version of ET ``` curl -kLO https://raw.githubusercontent.com/gridaphobe/CRL/master/GetComponents chmod a+x GetComponents ./GetComponents --parallel --shallow https://bitbucket.org/einsteintoolkit/manifest/raw/master/einsteintoolkit.th ./GetComponents http://einsteintoolkit.org/gallery/bns/nsnstohmns.th ``` This actually also occurs in an older ETK version I had $2021\_05$ when compiling the new thornlist `nsnstohmns.th` from 2022\_05 release. ‌ -- Ticket URL: https://bitbucket.org/einsteintoolkit/tickets/issues/2176/test-binary-neutr…

#2173: Test "Poisson equation" example Reporter: Roland Haas Status: open Milestone: ET_2021_11 Version: development version Type: task Priority: major Component: EinsteinToolkit website Comment (by Nadine Kuo): Just uploaded the results under [https://bitbucket.org/einsteintoolkit/www/downloads/](https://bitbucket.org…. I was able to do this via Chrome, despite the total size of 262 MB… Curl was giving me an error message similar to the one described earlier by @{5e8a469c6c8ec30b8abc9345} . ```none nadinekuo@DESKTOP-CFJ01HF:~/simulations$ curl -u 'hnkuo2(a)illinois.edu' -X POST https://api.bitbucket.org/2.0/repositories/einsteintoolkit/www/downloads -F files=@"poisson_20221015.tar.gz" Enter host password for user 'hnkuo2(a)illinois.edu': Bitbucket Cloud recently stopped supporting account passwords for API authentication. See our community post for more details: https://atlassian.community/t5/x/x/ba-p/1948231 App passwords are recommended for most use cases and can be created in your Personal settings: https://bitbucket.org/account/settings/app-passwords/ For more details on API authentication methods see our documentation: https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/bitbucket/rest/intro/#authentication ``` However, I think this would still work after creating an app password with write permission $[https://bitbucket.org/account/settings/app-passwords/](https://bitbucket.org/account/settings/app-passwords/)$ and as mentioned, use your Bitbucket username rather than e-mail address. -- Ticket URL: https://bitbucket.org/einsteintoolkit/tickets/issues/2173/test-poisson-equa…
