#2612: GetComponents assumes that $USER is defined
Reporter: Roland Haas
Status: new
Milestone:
Version: development version
Type: bug
Priority: minor
Component: GetComponents
Currently GetComponents assumes that the `$USER` environment variable is set. This is not true inside of docker containers and requires some workarounds in the Dockerfile to handle correctly.
Pull request [https://github.com/gridaphobe/CRL/pull/11/files](https://github.com/gridaph… instead uses Perl’s `getpwuid` to get the user name from the OS which does not rely on USER. I tested getpwuid to work fine in a Ubuntu container.

I have updated the tarball and the www site for this example. I believe the gallery example update is finished. Let me know of any problems with it/them.

Re-ran the example with the final code, after Code Freeze. Same results. Ran reasonably quick and was able to use VisIT to produce the image \(for the web page\) and to view the animation of that data.

#2611: disable use of mathml in online HTML docs
Reporter: Roland Haas
Status: new
Milestone:
Version: development version
Type: bug
Priority: minor
Component: Cactus
In #2442 enabled MathJax output in additon to mathml since mathml support is being phased out in browsers. Right now version of tex4ht have started to produce incorrect MathML for some ET docs eg GRHydro’s use of `\array`
```tex
\begin{equation}
\begin{array}{lcl}
% tex4ht fails unless \mathbf is in a group
\Delta_{\mathrm{upw}} & = & {\mathbf{q}}_{i} - {\mathbf{q}}_{i-1}\\
\Delta_{\mathrm{loc}} & = & {\mathbf{q}}_{i+1} - {\mathbf{q}}_{i}\,,\\
\end{array}
\end{equation}
```
make tex4ht output invalid mathml:

I updated the website and uploaded the results. I ran the example using a machine configured with _Intel\(R\) Xeon\(R\) Gold 6226R CPU @ 2.90GHz and 64Gb of ram._
