#1925: poisson equation image in gallery is too big ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- Reporter: rhaas | Owner: Type: defect | Status: new Priority: minor | Milestone: Component: Cactus website | Version: development version Keywords: | ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- The image for the poisson equation example in the gallery http://einsteintoolkit.org/about/gallery/ shows up too big for me, it shows up with 1322 pixels for me and is much wider than any of the other images. I would suggest to tie its width to the width of the window and use something like 80% for the width attribute. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.einsteintoolkit.org/ticket/1925> Einstein Toolkit <http://einsteintoolkit.org> The Einstein Toolkit

[Einstein Toolkit] #1923: make utils and simfactory ignore HWLOC=BUILD and try to copy hwloc executables from /usr/bin

#1923: make utils and simfactory ignore HWLOC=BUILD and try to copy hwloc executables from /usr/bin -----------------------------------+---------------------------------------- Reporter: vassilios.mewes@… | Owner: Type: defect | Status: new Priority: unset | Milestone: Component: SimFactory | Version: development version Keywords: | -----------------------------------+---------------------------------------- Hello! Trying to install the Einstein toolkit on a new machine, we came across this seemingly wrong behaviour: setting HWLOC=BUILD in the optionlist, the ET is built with the bundled hwloc successfully. However, upon building the utilities, it gives an error when it tries to copy hwloc-ls from /usr/bin to /exe/sim The error results from hwloc-ls being a broken symlink in the system, but the weird thing is that it actually copies the executables from /usr/bin when we have actually built hwloc using the bundled version. The same behaviour can also be seen here, where some hwloc executables are copied from /usr/bin, while others are copied from the hwloc bundle: http://lists.einsteintoolkit.org/pipermail/test/2014-January/000047.html Copying hwloc-assembler from <https://build.barrywardell.net/job/EinsteinToolkitReleased/ws/configs/sim/s… /hwloc-assembler> to <https://build.barrywardell.net/job/EinsteinToolkitReleased/ws/exe/sim> Copying hwloc-assembler-remote from <https://build.barrywardell.net/job/EinsteinToolkitReleased/ws/configs/sim/s… /hwloc-assembler-remote> to <https://build.barrywardell.net/job/EinsteinToolkitReleased/ws/exe/sim> Copying hwloc-bind from /usr/bin/hwloc-bind to <https://build.barrywardell.net/job/EinsteinToolkitReleased/ws/exe/sim> Copying hwloc-calc from /usr/bin/hwloc-calc to <https://build.barrywardell.net/job/EinsteinToolkitReleased/ws/exe/sim> Copying hwloc-distances from <https://build.barrywardell.net/job/EinsteinToolkitReleased/ws/configs/sim/s… /hwloc-distances> to <https://build.barrywardell.net/job/EinsteinToolkitReleased/ws/exe/sim> Copying hwloc-distrib from /usr/bin/hwloc-distrib to <https://build.barrywardell.net/job/EinsteinToolkitReleased/ws/exe/sim> Copying hwloc-info from /usr/bin/hwloc-info to <https://build.barrywardell.net/job/EinsteinToolkitReleased/ws/exe/sim> Copying hwloc-ls from /usr/bin/hwloc-ls to <https://build.barrywardell.net/job/EinsteinToolkitReleased/ws/exe/sim> Copying hwloc-ps from /usr/bin/hwloc-ps to <https://build.barrywardell.net/job/EinsteinToolkitReleased/ws/exe/sim> Copying lstopo from /usr/bin/lstopo to <https://build.barrywardell.net/job/EinsteinToolkitReleased/ws/exe/sim> Copying lstopo-no-graphics from <https://build.barrywardell.net/job/EinsteinToolkitReleased/ws/configs/sim/s… /lstopo-no-graphics> to <https://build.barrywardell.net/job/EinsteinToolkitReleased/ws/exe/sim> Is this wanted? I guess if one specifies HWLOC_DIR=BUILD, it should only use hwloc executables from the actual hwloc that comes bundled, right? I have attached the optionlist as well as the config-info and a tar of the config-data folder for the build. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.einsteintoolkit.org/ticket/1923> Einstein Toolkit <http://einsteintoolkit.org> The Einstein Toolkit

[Einstein Toolkit] #1922: SphereicalHarmonicReconGen tests fail on comet

#1922: SphereicalHarmonicReconGen tests fail on comet ---------------------------------------+------------------------------------ Reporter: rhaas | Owner: Type: defect | Status: new Priority: minor | Milestone: Component: EinsteinToolkit thorn | Version: development version Keywords: SphericalHarmonicReconGen | ---------------------------------------+------------------------------------ SphericalHarmonicReconGen tests fail on comet. The failures go away if one compiles with {{{-O3 -no-fma}}} rather than {{{-Ofast}}}. I suggest to increase test tolerance so that they pass since the difference is effectively due to amplified roundoff level differences. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.einsteintoolkit.org/ticket/1922> Einstein Toolkit <http://einsteintoolkit.org> The Einstein Toolkit

[Einstein Toolkit] #1868: automatically resubmit if terminated due to walltime
by Einstein Toolkit 14 Jun '16

#1868: automatically resubmit if terminated due to walltime -------------------------+-------------------------------------------------- Reporter: rhaas | Owner: Type: enhancement | Status: new Priority: major | Milestone: Component: SimFactory | Version: development version Keywords: | -------------------------+-------------------------------------------------- This patch adds code to datura's run script that detect if the run was terminated due to walltime running out. In that case it will resubmit the job automatically. This is an alternative over presubmission which is often more convenient for the user in case simulations fail. Presubmission itself would benefit by Cactus returning a failure code (that simfactory would need to forward) when termination is triggered by an error. [Einstein Toolkit] #1920: ADMBase implement evolution_method = "ID-apply-always" incorrecly

#1920: ADMBase implement evolution_method = "ID-apply-always" incorrecly -----------------------------------+---------------------------------------- Reporter: rhaas | Owner: Type: defect | Status: new Priority: minor | Milestone: Component: EinsteinToolkit thorn | Version: development version Keywords: ADMBase | -----------------------------------+---------------------------------------- It causes data to be copied forward in each step rather than the ID being re-evaluated causing issues for ID that depends on time. It looks as if in schedule.ccl the behaviour of ID-apply-always and ID- apply-regrid are reversed. Minor since the workaround is to use the other one of the two options. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.einsteintoolkit.org/ticket/1920> Einstein Toolkit <http://einsteintoolkit.org> The Einstein Toolkit

[Einstein Toolkit] #1910: ExternalLibraries/HDF5 does not set HDF5_INC_DIRS

#1910: ExternalLibraries/HDF5 does not set HDF5_INC_DIRS ---------------------------+------------------------------------------------ Reporter: barry.wardell | Owner: Type: defect | Status: new Priority: unset | Milestone: Component: Other | Version: development version Keywords: | ---------------------------+------------------------------------------------ When I set HDF5_DIR in my optionlist, the HDF5 external libraries thorn fails to set HDF5_INC_DIRS. This causes the CarpetIOHDF5 utils to fail to build as they cannot find hdf5.h. This should probably be fixed by setting HDF5_INC_DIRS in build.sh. This issue is related to #1170. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.einsteintoolkit.org/ticket/1910> Einstein Toolkit <http://einsteintoolkit.org> The Einstein Toolkit

[Einstein Toolkit] #1759: need tensorparity=-1 for WeylScal4::curvIi_group and curvJi_group
by Einstein Toolkit 13 Jun '16

#1759: need tensorparity=-1 for WeylScal4::curvIi_group and curvJi_group ------------------------------------+--------------------------------------- Reporter: physicsbeany@… | Owner: Bernard Kelly Type: defect | Status: new Priority: minor | Milestone: ET_2014_11 Component: EinsteinToolkit thorn | Version: development version Keywords: weylscal4, parity | ------------------------------------+--------------------------------------- The WeylScal4 gridfunctions curvIi and curvJi are pesudoscalars with the same parity properties as Psi2r and Psi2i. However, they're currently assigned no tensorparity attribute, so they're treated as scalars. As a result, for a z-aligned Kerr BH (EinsteinInitialData/IDAnalyticBH) evolved with reflection symmetry across the x-y plane, an interpolation of curvIi to a coordinate sphere will yield different values for the z<0 points than the same data on a full grid. Can we set "tensorparity=-1" for both these groups, to fix this issue? -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.einsteintoolkit.org/ticket/1759> Einstein Toolkit <http://einsteintoolkit.org> The Einstein Toolkit
