Comment (by Bing-Jyun Tsao):
The single NS gallery example is updated for the 2025-05 Kruscal release.
I downloaded with the thornlist in `https://bitbucket.org/einsteintoolkit/manifest/raw/master/einsteintoolkit.th`, but to have similar format in `index.html` with previous release, the thornlist is now pointed to `https://bitbucket.org/einsteintoolkit/manifest/raw/ET_2025_05/einsteintoolkit.th`, which doesn’t exist yet. Will the `einsteintoolkit.th`for this release be in a similar checkout, or should I point to somewhere else?

#2864: Spectre CCE exporter
Reporter: Roland Haas
Status: open
Milestone: ET_2025_05
Version:
Type: enhancement
Priority: major
Component: EinsteinToolkit thorn
Comment (by Roland Haas):
* is lacking a license in README \(being fixed right now\)
* n line [https://github.com/deborahferguson/CCE\_Export/blob/ae861ac586d362bc28a0fd4… you are not capturing errors from `H5Fcreate` or `H5Fopen` ie errors caused by incorrect paths. You can still use the macro you have like so:
```
HDF5_ERROR(file = H5Fopen(output_name.c_str(), H5F_ACC_RDWR, H5P_DEFAULT));
```
since the C preprocessor will happily take more than just a expression as input.
* currently breaks the test system for any hdf5 file producing test with errors `Argument "M-7M-2\\M-3eM-TM-6M-lvM-lM-[heM-&M-~sM-JM-/$M-^SM-p^\/p^_..." isn't numeric in subtraction (-) at /data/rhaas/postdoc/gr/cactus/ET_Next/repos/flesh/lib/sbin/RunTestUtils.pl line 1939, <INNEW> line 16624.` since it declares the `.h5` extension as being files that the testsuite system should compare, but only for `CCT_Export` is there a postprocessor registered. Related to: [http://einsteintoolkit.org/usersguide/UsersGuide.html#x1-118000C1.8.5](http… “The EXTENSIONS option adds `extension_1`, `extension_2` and `extension_3` to the list of file extensions that are compared. This list is global over all tests in a configuration.”

#2871: EOS_Omni's nuceos code used int to hold hid_t values
Reporter: Roland Haas
Status: new
Milestone:
Version:
Type: bug
Priority: major
Component: EinsteinToolkit thorn
`EOS_Omni` contains this code:
```
// If on the IO proc (doIO == True) actually perform HDF5 IO, catch possible
// HDF5 errors
#define HDF5_DO_IO(fn_call) \
if(doIO) { \
int _error_code = fn_call; \
if (_error_code < 0) { \
CCTK_VError(__LINE__, __FILE__, CCTK_THORNSTRING, \
"HDF5 call '%s' returned error code %d", \
#fn_call, _error_code); \
} \
}
```
to handle some HDF5 calls. This assigns the result of HDF5 calls \(typically a `hid_t` type\) to an int, which \(as of HDF5 1.10 or so\) is no longer correct since `hid_t` is now a 64 bit type. So this needs to be a `hid_t` or `long long int` \(and some compile time check that \`long long int\` actually can hold a \`hid\_t\`\) instead to handle the value and output via printf.
