#339: ExternalLibraries/OpenSSL does not compile in 64-bit mode on Mac OS ---------------------------------------+------------------------------------ Reporter: hinder | Owner: Type: defect | Status: new Priority: major | Milestone: Component: Cactus | Version: Keywords: ExternalLibraries/OpenSSL | ---------------------------------------+------------------------------------ Compiling OpenSSL using ExternalLibraries leads to the following warning, followed by a build failure: + cd openssl-1.0.0d + ./config --prefix=/Users/ian/Cactus/et/configs/fink/scratch/external/OpenSSL Operating system: i686-apple-darwinDarwin Kernel Version 10.6.0: Wed Nov 10 18:13:17 PST 2010; root:xnu-1504.9.26~3/RELEASE_I386 WARNING! If you wish to build 64-bit library, then you have to invoke './Configure darwin64-x86_64-cc' *manually*. You have about 5 seconds to press Ctrl-C to abort. Configuring for darwin-i386-cc I don't know how to detect that the compiler is building in 64-bit mode in order to add the corresponding flag to the Configure line. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.einsteintoolkit.org/ticket/339> Einstein Toolkit <http://einsteintoolkit.org> The Einstein Toolkit

[Einstein Toolkit] #818: Fix allocation of array for 4D arrays in IOASCII

#818: Fix allocation of array for 4D arrays in IOASCII --------------------+------------------------------------------------------- Reporter: knarf | Owner: Type: defect | Status: new Priority: minor | Milestone: ET_2012_05 Component: Cactus | Version: development version Keywords: | --------------------+------------------------------------------------------- (At least) one place in IOASCII assumes maxdim<=3 by only allocating 3 entries of an array but then writing maxdim entries. The thorn TestArrays tests 4D arrays in its testsuite and while this seems to work on 64bit machines, it gives a segfault on 32bit machines (plus valgrind complaining loudly). Allocating maxdim entries (like also done elsewhere in the file) solves this problem, as indicated in the attached patch. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.einsteintoolkit.org/ticket/818> Einstein Toolkit <http://einsteintoolkit.org> The Einstein Toolkit

[Einstein Toolkit] #811: Carpet::processor_topology="recursive" breaks when using multipatch grids (Llama)

#811: Carpet::processor_topology="recursive" breaks when using multipatch grids (Llama) --------------------+------------------------------------------------------- Reporter: rhaas | Owner: eschnett Type: defect | Status: new Priority: minor | Milestone: Component: Carpet | Version: Keywords: | --------------------+------------------------------------------------------- the attached parameter file, when run with 2 or more MPI Processes fails with: {{{ WARNING level 0 in thorn Interpolate2 processor 0 host horizon.tapir.caltech.edu (line 99 of /data/rhaas/postdoc/gr/Zelmani/arrangements/Llama/Interpolate2/src/test.cc): -> There were 27 grid points which are interpolated from boundary points. [Einstein Toolkit] #812: tensorspecial for ML_BSSN::phi is not set
by Einstein Toolkit 18 Apr '12

#812: tensorspecial for ML_BSSN::phi is not set --------------------+------------------------------------------------------- Reporter: rhaas | Owner: Type: defect | Status: new Priority: minor | Milestone: Component: Other | Version: Keywords: | --------------------+------------------------------------------------------- if I am not mistaken then the default parameters (conformalMethod == 0) make phi = ln(gamma)/12 a tensor density of type tensorspecial == "log" and weight 1/6. The weight is in the code, the special is missing. This of course breaks once one sets conformalMethod == 1 and actually re- interprets phi as W. Fix in the Mathematica script would seem to add {{{ SetTensorAttribute[phi, TensorSpecial, "log"]; }}} and to define a new grid function W with the proper type for the coformal case. Only should affect multipatch runs. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.einsteintoolkit.org/ticket/812> Einstein Toolkit <http://einsteintoolkit.org> The Einstein Toolkit

[Einstein Toolkit] #493: All checkpoint files used in test suite need to be regenerated to work with development Carpet
by Einstein Toolkit 17 Apr '12

#493: All checkpoint files used in test suite need to be regenerated to work with development Carpet --------------------+------------------------------------------------------- Reporter: hinder | Owner: eschnett Type: defect | Status: new Priority: minor | Milestone: Component: Carpet | Version: Keywords: | --------------------+------------------------------------------------------- The current stable and development (git and mercurial) versions of Carpet use incompatible checkpoint file formats. Neither can read the checkpoints generated by the other (http://lists.einsteintoolkit.org/pipermail/users/2011-August/001299.html). The tests checkpointML, recoverML, CarpetWaveToyNewRecover_test_1proc and CarpetWaveToyRecover_test_1proc need to have their checkpoint files regenerated. At this point, it is likely that these tests will start to fail for the stable version of Carpet, but making the stable version read these files would be more effort than it is worth. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.einsteintoolkit.org/ticket/493> Einstein Toolkit <http://einsteintoolkit.org> The Einstein Toolkit

[Einstein Toolkit] #667: http should not redirect to https

#667: http should not redirect to https -------------------------------------+-------------------------------------- Reporter: eschnett | Owner: Type: defect | Status: new Priority: major | Milestone: Component: EinsteinToolkit website | Version: Keywords: | -------------------------------------+-------------------------------------- Downloading from https://docs.einsteintoolkit.org via wget doesn't work because its certificate is not valid. When I try to use http instead of https, I find myself redirected to https. This is senseless -- we can't get https to work correctly, then we should at least offer a fully functional http instead. -- Ticket URL: <https://trac.einsteintoolkit.org/ticket/667> Einstein Toolkit <http://einsteintoolkit.org> The Einstein Toolkit
