Using a bibtex file breaks the auto-generated thorndocs on: https://einsteintoolkit.org/documentation/ThornGuide.php see eg AHFinderDirect https://einsteintoolkit.org/thornguide/EinsteinAnalysis/AHFinderDirect/docum... which missing both the Acknowledgment and Bibliography section on the website.
