Hi
Please consider joining the weekly Einstein Toolkit phone call at 10 am US central time on Mondays. As usual, you can find instructions how to join on the following web site:
http://einsteintoolkit.org/community/support/
NOTE: Most of Europe, and maybe other parts of the world too, changed to winter time last week end. This means for those the meeting will be ONE HOUR EARLIER than usual. This change will only affect this week, as Louisiana will change its time on Nov 1st too, one week later than Europe.
The number to call is (+1) 225-578-4942 and the conference id is 118682#.

Hi,
The following people were present (and spoke up): Frank, Ian, Jonah, Josh, Matt, Peter, Steve, Yosef, and Zach.
It was announced that (tentatively), there will be an Einstein Toolkit workshop/school next summer, from June 13-17th, in Trento, Italy. Details are still a little in flux and should be considered with care, but if you have interest in going you might want to hold this time frame free.
Matt asked for a way to visualize AH output in visit, and Frank pointed to https://trac.einsteintoolkit.org/ticket/1828.
Concerning release: - Target release date is Nov 11th (a Wednesday). - Unless discussed, no larger changes should go in past the end of tomorrow (Oct 27th). - The elliptic solver should go in: Ian will figure out last details required https://trac.einsteintoolkit.org/ticket/1676 - Capability versions should be going in, but might need more discussion. In case they don't, a small change should be made to already now let the flesh at least ignore VERSION strings for capabilities (such that a release-flesh would not choke on a newer thorn including such a string). Needed especially for LORENE - multiarch patch: please review https://trac.einsteintoolkit.org/ticket/1769 - McLachlan backwards compatibility needs to be tested. Ian and Zach volunteered https://trac.einsteintoolkit.org/ticket/1827 - CarpetMask ticket in review should be able to make it (simple enough?): https://trac.einsteintoolkit.org/ticket/1819

Hi all!
I would like to point out a different solution to this problem, which is not mentioned in the ticket (maybe it should be). If one activates QuasiLocalMeasures, you can get each surface (which doesn't need to be an AH, incidentally) output as VTK polygonal data, along with the various quantities that the thorn calculates, defined as fields on the surface. These can be then read by, e.g., VisIt.
No postprocessing needed.
