in one of the recent ET phone calls it was decided to more prominently advertise the trac mailing list (since it is convenient and a large part of development discussion happens there/in the ticket comments).

The ET support page http://einsteintoolkit.org/community/support/ lists the available email list, in particular the one for trac http://lists.einsteintoolkit.org/mailman/listinfo/trac where updates on trac tickets are made available.
