Hi, Using mercurial, I get this warning during simulations : INFO (CarpetReduce): Simulation domain volume: 170368000 INFO (CarpetReduce): Reduction weight sum: 170367999.880642 WARNING level 1 in thorn CarpetReduce processor 0 host tachyon2974 (line 120 of /home01/r632kgw/jakob/CactusP/arrangements/Carpet/CarpetReduce/src/mask_test.c): -> Simulation domain volume and reduction weight sum differ Simulations seem to run okay though. What is causing this warning and is it serious or can I just ignore it? Cheers, Jakob

Hi, Are there objections to change the default of TmunuBase::support_old_CalcTmunu_mechanism from "yes" to "no"? Frank

Can't check out einsteintoolkit
by Petr Tsatsin 25 Jun '12

Hello, I'm trying to checkout einsteintoolkit on my work station and it's asking for some password. I didn't experienced this problem before. What I should enter for the password? -- Petr Tsatsin Graduate Student - Department of Physics Charles E. Present were: Philipp, Erik, Bruno, Roland, Yosef, Josh * workshop locations for fall workshop are still open. Bruno volunteers to organize at RIT. * Erik announced plans to retire cctk_lssh from the flesh and to introduce cctk_ash instead (see discussion on the Cactus mailing list [1]) * this change should not change behaviour unless extra parameters are set by the user Yours, Roland [1] http://cactuscode.org/pipermail/users/2012-June/003134.html

Einstein Toolkit Meeting Reminder

Hi Please consider joining the weekly Einstein Toolkit phone call at 10 am US central time on Mondays. As usual, you can find instructions how to join on the following web site: http://einsteintoolkit.org/community/support/ In short: the number is (+1) 225-578-4942 or (+1) 866-573-0359 and the conference id is 118682#. I will host this week's call, so hopefully everything will go smoothly. (Some) topics to discuss: - Einstein Toolkit Workshop Time and location are not decided yet, the doodle poll for the time http://doodle.com/ritukz79hhuvhben is still open, and so far LSU (Frank) and RIT (Joshua) volunteered to host it, but no other opinions have been raised. Please feel free to add to this list (which is now slanted towards what I am interested in). Roland Haas

Hello Roland, Yes, I have a r372. I also attached my par file for the reference. >Hello Peter, > >> I'm trying to run Meudon initial data for binary neutron stars. Problem with a regridding ET_2012_05
by Petr Tsatsin 22 Jun '12

22 Jun '12

Hi, I'm trying to run Meudon initial data for binary neutron stars. I'm using 2 mesh refinement levels. The problem is that after first regridding all the ADM quantities become NaNs. Maybe I'm missing something in my par file (which was working fine on previous release)? -- Petr Tsatsin Graduate Student - Department of Physics Charles E. Status of MHD in GRHydro?
by Heeil Kim 22 Jun '12

22 Jun '12

Hi, I've tested GRMHD with the latest development version and also with Lovelace. I made a parameter file for the evolution of magnetized stars with Meudon reader + Cell centered + Refluxing + some various combinations of LLF, Constraint transport etc. But almost all tests were stopped at one AMR cycle (it=4, # of reflevel =3). Do you have any hints? What I'm concerning is many people seem to be doing tests on the MHD. I'd better wait? Or Am I missing something important? Thanks in advance, Cheers, Hee Il
